Quality Dental Care In St. Louis, Missouri

AUGUST 2009

From the desk of Bill Hartel ~

Greetings!  Dr. Hartel is recuperating at Missouri Baptist Hospital due to a recent bout of tummy trouble.  While he is on the mend, his return to practice will be delayed for a couple of weeks.  In the meantime, Dr. Hartel's excellent staff remains available to assist his existing patients.  Fortunately for all concerned, Dr. Hartel was able to enlist the assistance of several other dentists to help provide care in his absence.

Inside this issue:

Silent Nite
It is estimated that more than 80 million people in North America snore while sleeping. Considering the snorer's spouse and children, as many as 160 million people are negatively affected by snoring every night. However, there is now a prescription for a more restful night's sleep: Silent Nite®. Dentists can prescribe this affordable, custom-made device, which is flexible, thin and comfortable in the mouth, to aid in the dissolution of snoring. Not only does Silent Nite aid in a good night's sleep, it exhibits documented clinical success for the prevention of annoying and unhealthy snoring.  For more information on this product, ask about this item at your next dental visit.

Navajo Mission Trip 2009
Dr. Hartel and his staff visit the Navajo Reservation in Arizona annually to provide dental care. The trips are sponsored by the Navajo Evanjelical Lutheran MissionView pictures of the recent trip.

Animal Balance
Dr. Hartel has inspired many by sharing his Navajo mission trips.  His inspiration inspired Mary Ann Wentzel to participate in spay & neuter campaigns with Animal Balance.  Her first animal mission trip was to the Galapagos Islands.  After the first trip grew a strong passion to help animals.  AB works with the local authorities to organize community-based sterilization programs for cats and dogs on islands and areas where the local ecology is fragile.  By humanely reducing and controlling cat and dog populations the community is healthier and the native species are protected in helping to conserve biodiversity in fragile ecosystems around the world.

On the mend...
Despite being laid up with health issues, Dr. Hartel here strives to stay up to date on latest dental procedures.

Thank you very much for your time and the trust you place in me and my staff.

Yours Truly,

William Hartel, D.M.D.
